Archives for year-end

Looking forward to 2017!

Merry Christmas and Happy 2017 from the whole gang at WFA Staffing.

We celebrate the birth of the Christ child at this time of the year. It is also a time of year when the calendar is winding down on 2016.  We have had a very good year . We are thankful to our clients, our staff and all the employees of WFA Staffing all across southeastern Wisconsin.

It seems that each New Year brings its own set of challenges.  2016 was no different in that respect and 2017 likely will be the same.  Life would be boring if there were not a few difficulties simply to keep us all on our toes and challenged to be even better at what it is that we do.

Our pledge to you, whether already clients and customers and employees, or whether you will become a client, customer or employee this coming year is quite simple. We pledge to be honest, to work diligently and to provide solutions for your needs as rapidly as is possible.

None of us knows just what 2017 will bring to us.  We can be reasonably certain this next year will bring more challenges, and that is good since a challenge requires a solution if we are to continue to excel.  Without the constant challenge, none of us would be as good at what we do as we have become.  Our competition is good.  Lack of competition is not good for any of us.

If this is the year in which you have promised you will improve your position, we’re ready to help you in that process.  Perhaps this is the year in which you’ll expand your business, we’re ready to help you in that effort.  Or if this is the year you told yourself you’d find a better partner, we’d love to try out for that spot.

We are not perfect and we know of no organization which is perfect.  Knowing that, we can always improve and that is the key for us all to be better in 2017 than we were in 2016.  Even though this was very good year, we’ll not rest on our laurels.  You keep us sharp.  You make sure we live up to our commitments.  We are thankful for you and what you do for us.  We hope that you are pleased with our mutual relationship.  If you are not yet a WFA Staffing client, and are seeking a pleasant and productive relationship, we stand ready to take the test.

Have a great Holiday season and call us early in 2017.

Farewell to 2014!

Creative-2015-new-year-background-material-set-07As we approach the end of the current year, we are reminded of the many friends we have made while working with and for each of our client companies, as well as with and for those whom we’ve recruited and with whom we’ve maintained a friendship.

Our business is a ‘people’ business and we never want to lose sight of that. Without our clients, we’d not be able to be in business. Without our staff members, we’d not be able to be in business. Without those who have come to us for positions, we’d have not been able to be in business.

We take this time as the New Year approaches to thank everyone who falls into one of those categories…and we sincerely look forward to that group of people being significantly larger next year at this same time.

WFA christmas 2014

Our prayer for all is simple: may you find peace and comfort; may you be loved and may you love; may you have good health and good friends; and may you have hopes and dreams, for without those this can be a dreary world.

We bid a fond farewell to 2014 and we look ahead to an exciting and rewarding 2015.

Again, thanks to all those who’ve made this a great year for WFA Staffing!

A Bad Time to Search?

We are in the holiday season and there is a significant concern on the parts of many as to whether a search for qualified candidates is worthwhile or not during this season.  We believe that this can be one of the very best times for searching out the ideal candidate.

We humans tend to become more focused on ourselves and our families during this time of year.  We are reflective; we think about the good and the not-so-good things that have been part of our lives in the year that is coming to a close.

That thought process coupled with an aggressive search mounted by WFA Staffing can hit at precisely the right time in the lives of the candidate and his or her family.  It is not unusual for the remaining vacation time to be used during this period and that makes out-of-town searches all the more possible.  Bonuses that might have served to tie people down even if they were unsatisfied in their positions will have been paid out thus eliminating another barrier to interviewing.

On top of that, we tend to think of things we’d like to change for the coming year as we move closer to year-end.  If we have no children in the home, this time is as good as any time for a ‘new beginning’.  Even with kids in school, this is a good time to have interviews and begin to make plans for later in the spring.  In some cases, employers may be willing to extend themselves to get the right person recognizing that he or she might need more time off given a family left behind until school is over.

All in all, we find this as good a time for interviews as any time in the course of a typical year.  We even find that the holiday spirit can have a solid effect on the results of interviews.  We are a bit more laid back and might be willing to spend more quality time in meaningful interviews as the year winds down.  We are more in tune with others and that can be nothing but good for the prospective employee and for the prospective employer.

Give WFA Staffing an order and let us find that perfect candidate no matter what time of year is upon us.  We’ll even put a bow around the whole experience!
