Drafter Estimator

1st Shift

Pay Range: $19-$23

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY: Drafting & Cutting Software, Cost Calculations for Quotation

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Create production drawings using AutoCAD and Inventor for shop fabrications
• Import drawings to Plasma Cutting machine for production
• Maintain Inventory levels of materials used in the cutting process using cutting software
• Have a working knowledge of Plasma Cutting machines and software
• Produce cost estimates and provide quotes to customers
• Communicate with customers and the sales team regarding project requirements
• Make revisions based on customer requirements
• Communicate and work with Shop employees regarding orders and projects
• Other tasks as defined
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• 2-year Mechanical Drafting Degree or similar
• 2-year working experience drafting in a related field
• Welding knowledge and experience
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• General Computer skills
• AUTOCAD, Inventor, or similar Drafting ability
• Effective Communication skills
• Organizational skills
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Standing or walking up to 25% of the day
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Manufacturing / Fabrication Facility
