Shift: 2nd Shift (2pm – 10:30pm)

Training: 1st Shift (6:30am – 3pm) for approximately 6 months


Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team on the 2nd shift. The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing all-around maintenance work on various systems and equipment to ensure the proper operating functions of machinery. The initial training period will be conducted on the 1st shift.


Description of Essential Duties:

  • Perform maintenance and repair on building systems such as pipefitting, basic electrical, HVAC, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and repair machines and equipment, including parts replacement.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on all assigned equipment.
  • Maintain company property, including buildings and grounds, and perform tasks like snow removal.
  • Adhere to all quality, safety, and work regulations.
  • Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma and/or GED preferred; additional specific related training is desirable.
  • Experience: Two years of experience in a manufacturing/chemical industry preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Computer experience strongly preferred.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to group goals.
  • Ability to receive and provide instructions positively.
  • Forklift driving certification strongly preferred; ability to operate a forklift and use a pallet jack required.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to convert various measurements are required.
  • Preferred ability to use the following tools: grind plate, calculator, computer, pipe wrench, large and small scrapers, Allen wrench, box knife, bung wrench, manual drum truck, cowels, sand mill, air mixer, screwdriver, and pliers.
