Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in Butler, WI. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure the production of high-quality products. This role requires a strong background in engineering principles, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve production efficiency and product quality
- Collaborate with production teams to identify areas for improvement and implement lean manufacturing principles
- Analyze production data and metrics to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process enhancements
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions for manufacturing processes
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce costs, increase productivity, and enhance safety
- Support the introduction of new products and processes by working with engineering, production, and quality teams
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement solutions to minimize downtime and improve throughput
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies in the manufacturing environment
- Work with suppliers and vendors to source equipment, materials, and services as needed
- Provide training and guidance to production staff on new equipment and processes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field)
- 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in a production or industrial environment
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, process optimization, and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen)
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) and ERP systems
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation
- Strong project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and automation technology
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
