Plating Lead

Location: Milwaukee, WI
Shift: 1st Shift (6:00 AM – 2:00 PM)
Pay Rate: Up to $33 per hour
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Plating Lead to oversee plating operations, ensure quality control, and manage the daily workflow of the plating department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plating processes, chemical handling, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate plating operations, ensuring production goals and quality standards are met.
  • Operate and monitor plating equipment, making necessary adjustments for optimal performance.
  • Inspect plated parts for defects, ensuring compliance with specifications.
  • Train and support plating team members to maintain efficiency and safety.
  • Maintain chemical balance in plating baths, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot plating issues.
  • Follow and enforce safety procedures, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
  • Work closely with the quality control and production teams to improve processes and resolve issues.
  • Ensure proper documentation of plating operations, chemical usage, and maintenance records.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in plating operations, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of plating techniques, chemistry, and equipment maintenance.
  • Skills: Ability to troubleshoot plating defects, adjust chemical compositions, and lead a team effectively.
  • Safety: Familiarity with OSHA regulations and best practices in handling chemicals.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in plating is a plus.
