The Set-up/Machine Technician shall at all times strive to exceed our customers’ expectations and continuously improve our customer service and the quality and value of our products.
-shall be responsible for tooling, getting wire, setting up the machine to run, plus all machine coiling operations including monitoring wire intake.
Duties also include establishing control limits, monitoring quality, and maintaining statistical control of the production process. This position involves being responsible for the initial inspection on the part, and tagging new samples for setup boxes for each new setup. This position also includes performing in-process inspections between set-ups and/or as needed.
Other job functions include the initial setting up of scales, ovens, determining heat processing and ensuring proper completion of all secondary operations.
The Set-up/Machine Technician shall provide proper maintenance for the machines (i.e., minor repairs and adjustments), preventative maintenance and keeping the machine and the work area clean.
The Set-up/Machine Technician should work effectively with the Inspectors and Operators and Secondary Operators for smooth production, report to the Department Manager, input on which machine might be best for any particular job, assist in training, handle other duties as assigned and help improve the system.
Requirements: High school diploma or three years of manufacturing experience, tool and die experience preferred.
The Set-up/Machine Technician shall handle other duties as assigned and works with other management personnel to improve all systems in the company.
