Northern Suburb Trades Service is seeking an in hour Dispatcher to work 1st shift.

This individual will be responsible for assigning and routing technicians on service calls in the best and most efficient way possible.

Will handle most incoming phone calls and records service requests from customers.

Responsible for setting up the technician schedule for each day and handling changes in the schedule as needed.

This individual needs to have excellent customer service skills as the position interacts with customers frequently both in person and via phone.

Handle pricing / billing and invoices which were not left on the job at the time of service.

job Duties assigned but not limited to:

-Handle incoming phone calls

-Make up appropriate dispatches for service calls

-Schedule customer requests for service in the most efficient manner

-Route daily technician schedule in the most effective manner

-Schedule return – service visits in a timely manner after parts ordered are received in shop

-Invoice service calls that are not billed out on job site.

-Answer and handle customer inquiries on billing – questions on work done, etc.

-Take credit card numbers from customers phoning in to pay bills, when needed

-Answer any technical inquiries from customers to assist them in the best way possible

-End of month processing: Analyze & investigate open dispatches report for any calls completed but not invoiced for prior month(s).

-Enter any service history on call-backs and other non-chargeable calls.

-Take phone calls from technicians requiring parts – give to warehouse or assign driver as necessary to get parts to technicians. (In Warehouse Mgr.’s absence ) 13. Look up prices for technicians (if necessary) that inquire via radio or phone

-Handle water tests & scheduling of them: Invoice tests as needed with well inspection letter and answer inquiries from homeowners / realtors.

-Order parts on an “as-needed” basis in purchasing manager’s absence.

-Keep track of permits pulled on “Log – sheet” and write permits for jobs / installations as needed.

Hours are roughly 7 AM – 5 PM Monday – Friday (with some potential for on call)
