Inside Sales Representative Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and well-spoken inside sales representative to join our sales team. The inside sales representative will be responsible for managing the day-to-day sales activities of our top OEM and large fabrication customers. Must be able to communicate with customers, understanding their needs to ensure a smooth sales process.
This position has the opportunity to transition to an estimating role or an outside sales role.
Inside sales representatives report directly to VP of Sales.
Inside Sales Representative Responsibilities:
Manage Sales Accounts from our top OEM customers.
Enter Sales Orders into the system and work with scheduling to keep customers informed of their orders.
Understanding customers’ needs and identifying sales opportunities.
Answering potential customers’ questions and sending additional information per email.
Keeping up with product and service information and updates.
Explaining and demonstrating features of products and services.
Staying informed about competing products and services.
Upselling products and services within the assigned customer list.
Inside Sales Representative Requirements:
High school diploma/GED.
Previous experience managing sales accounts in a manufacturing setting is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software such as Global Shop.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
Excellent phone skills.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Strong listening and sales skills.
Ability to achieve targets.
