Job Summary

The Shipper/Crater is responsible for preparing, packaging, and shipping products in accordance with company standards and customer specifications. This role ensures accurate order fulfillment, safe transport of goods, and proper documentation for all outgoing shipments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Package and crate products securely to prevent damage during transportation

  • Prepare shipping documents and labels, ensuring completeness and accuracy

  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment

  • Coordinate with carriers and internal departments regarding shipment details

  • Load and unload trucks while following proper safety protocols

  • Maintain accurate inventory and shipping records through ERP or warehouse systems

  • Conduct inspections of packaged goods to meet quality and safety standards

  • Keep work area organized and follow all safety guidelines

Qualifications

  • Previous shipping, warehouse, or crating experience preferred

  • Ability to read and interpret work orders and packing requirements

  • Experience with forklifts or material handling equipment, certification preferred

  • Basic computer skills for shipping software and documentation

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • High school diploma or equivalent
