Position Summary

The Plating Technician performs metal finishing and plating operations in accordance with production requirements and quality standards. This position involves working with various chemicals, surface treatments, and plating equipment to ensure parts meet customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare parts for plating through cleaning, masking, and inspection.
  • Operate plating tanks and related equipment according to established procedures.
  • Monitor chemical levels, temperature, and plating times for optimal performance.
  • Conduct quality checks using measuring tools and visual inspection techniques.
  • Maintain accurate production and process documentation.
  • Handle parts carefully to prevent damage or contamination.
  • Follow safety protocols including proper handling of chemicals and PPE usage.
  • Assist with tank maintenance, chemical replenishment, and equipment upkeep.
