Position Summary
The Industrial Painter applies paint and protective coatings to metal and manufactured components following specifications and quality requirements. The position requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of industrial coating techniques, and adherence to safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces through cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming.
- Apply paint and coatings using spray guns, brushes, or other application equipment.
- Review work orders and specifications to ensure proper coating materials and thickness.
- Inspect finished surfaces for uniform coverage and proper curing.
- Mix and adjust paint materials according to manufacturer guidelines.
- Maintain painting equipment and ensure proper ventilation and safety controls.
- Track job progress and complete required documentation.
- Follow all safety, environmental, and hazardous material handling protocols.
Qualifications
- Previous industrial painting experience required.
- Familiarity with spray application, powder coating, or related painting methods.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or production instructions.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with PPE requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, color accuracy, and quality standards.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift materials as needed.
