Plating Technician IV

Location: Milwaukee, WI
Pay Rate: $24.36 per hour
Shifts Available:

  • 1st Shift: Tuesday–Friday, 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM

  • 2nd Shift: Available (hours vary)

Position Summary

The Plating Technician IV is a senior-level role responsible for performing advanced electroplating and metal finishing processes while ensuring high-quality standards, safety compliance, and efficient production. This position requires strong technical expertise, troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform complex plating operations including setup, processing, and teardown of plating tanks

  • Monitor chemical baths, adjust concentrations, temperatures, and voltages as needed

  • Inspect plated parts to ensure adherence to quality and thickness specifications

  • Troubleshoot plating defects and process issues and implement corrective actions

  • Maintain accurate production and quality documentation

  • Follow all safety, environmental, and OSHA regulations

  • Assist with training and mentoring lower-level plating technicians

  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and coordinate repairs when necessary

  • Work closely with quality and production teams to meet customer requirements and deadlines

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4+ years of plating or metal finishing experience

  • Strong knowledge of electroplating processes, chemicals, and equipment

  • Ability to read and interpret work instructions, specifications, and safety data sheets (SDS)

  • Experience using measurement and inspection tools

  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
