Job Title: Punch Press Set-Up/Operator
Shift: 1st Shift
Location: Germantown WI
Pay Rate: $18 – $26 per hour (based on experience)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Punch Press Set-Up/Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of set-up experience and be capable of operating and adjusting metal stamping presses ranging from 5 to 200 tons. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and adjust 5-ton to 200-ton metal stamping presses.

  • Select and install the correct tooling for each job using set-up documents or with supervisor/lead assistance.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve metal forming problems as they arise.

  • Perform quality checks to ensure parts meet required specifications.

  • Maintain a safe and organized work area in compliance with company and OSHA safety standards.

  • Make routine decisions independently and escalate complex issues as needed.

  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of punch press set-up experience required.

  • Strong knowledge of metal stamping processes and tooling.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, set-up sheets, and work instructions.

  • Good mechanical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.

  • Team player with a positive, “can-do” attitude.

  • Reliable with a strong work ethic.
