Heavy Diesel Mechanic

Location: Waukesha, WI
Pay Rate: $35–$40 per hour (based on experience)

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Waukesha. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy-duty diesel equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation and minimal downtime.

Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on heavy-duty diesel equipment

  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment

  • Inspect engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems, and suspension components

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and engine management systems

  • Complete maintenance and repair documentation accurately

  • Follow DOT, OSHA, and company safety standards

  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of heavy diesel mechanic experience preferred

  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills

  • Experience with engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems

  • Ability to read repair manuals and schematics

  • Valid driver’s license required; CDL a plus

  • ASE certifications a plus but not required

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs

  • Ability to stand, kneel, and work in various positions for extended periods
